    Install the BotGPT plugin, paste your chatbot ID and the chat button appears on every page. The assistant answers from your own documents, pages and FAQs, books appointments and passes the rest to you.

    How to add it to WordPress

    Create your assistant first (free), then follow these steps. Your own chatbot ID and snippet are on the Publish tab.

    1. Download the plugin with the button below. In WordPress go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the zip, install and activate it.
    2. Open Settings > BotGPT, paste your chatbot ID (it is the text after chatbotId= in the line above) and save.
    3. Open your site in a new tab: the chat button appears in the corner. Optional: add a "Chat with us" button anywhere with the shortcode [botgpt_open].
    4. Prefer no plugin? Install the free plugin "WPCode", open Code Snippets > Header & Footer, paste the line above into Footer and save.

    WooCommerce shops work the same way. The assistant can also search your products live (Settings > Integrations).

    Questions

    Do I need a plugin?

    The free BotGPT plugin is the easiest way: one settings page for your chatbot ID. If you prefer no plugin, a header and footer code plugin such as WPCode can hold the one-line snippet instead.

    Does it slow my site down?

    The loader is a small script that draws the chat button. The chat window loads only when a visitor opens it, so pages stay fast.

    Will it work with my theme or page builder?

    Yes. The button is added in the page footer and does not touch your theme's styles, so it works with Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg and classic themes.
